I'm being pedantic now..

Set localedir to $(datadir)/locale always - since the intl Makefile assumes
this and I can't be bothered fixing it.  If anyone really things we need to be
able to configure an alternative to this, then feel free to update the
Makefile although you should also harass the gettext authors to update it
upstream.

Merged i18n branch into HEAD.
Updated nc6.pot (and ran msgmerge for it.po)

Enable italian translation.
It's not yet ready for tarball release but we'll use it as a guinea pig ;)

Added checking of sin6_scope_id in the address comparison.  Not sure exactly
what the scope_id does, but I noticed some other ipv6 code does this check in
ACL's and I figured we should do it too.

Merged changes from HEAD to i18n

Merged a few autoconf changes from the i18n branch

Merged chris_refactor_060103 back into HEAD since there's no more issues
against it being there.  Any further cleanups can just be done here (and that
gives us one less branch ;-) )

Added calls to PATH_BSHELL and PATH_DEVNULL for those poor hosts who either
don't have paths.h or it doesn't contain _PATH_BSHELL and _PATH_DEVNULL
defines.

Also moved all fiddling with CFLAGS to the very end - we'll let autoconf do
it's own thing before then.

Added version requirement of >= 1.6 for automake

Added the --with-localedir option (fixing the FIXME)

activated NLS, still to be worked in configure.ac

Apparantly the LINGUAS must be defined in configure.ac for recent gettext
versions, not in the po/LINGUAS file...

Added the AM_GNU_GETTEXT macro and support for the intl library and po
directory.

Removed extra GUESS_STACK args and some redundant notice messages.

Updated configure.ac to use AC_CONFIG_FILES, and to create docs/nc6.1
We don't need automake foreign mode anymore, so removed that.

Fixed a problem with debug flags

removed useless configuration-time checks. fixed a segfault. the code now
compiles smoothly, and runs without segfaults, but still refuses to work
correctly.

Merged with updates in the HEAD branch.

Added contrib subdir.
Changed setting of CFLAGS to defining NC6_CFLAGS for flags to be used in
compiling nc6 (but not, for example, the contrib files).
Changed the --enable-stack-guess help string to --disable-stack-guess to
better show the default state.

refactored networking support code. added some coding style rules. added runtime checks for ipv6 compliance.

Added timeout support for connects/accepts (only simple testing done).
Added a "-t sec" option to enable it.

Modernized configure.  Added bug report address - is this where they should go?

Reworked circ_buf to work the same way as io_stream, etc (normalized function
names, changed construction/destruction to init/destroy).

Added '-cvs' version modifier

moved nc6.spec to nc6.spec.in, to make use of autoconf in order to achieve automatic version numbering for the rpm.

Updated configure test to accurately determine if IPv6 can be supported at
compile time, and moves other checks to runtime.
Removed extra unused macros.
Cleaned up existing macros.

Renamed configure.in to configure.ac to be more 'autoconf 2.5' ish.. ;)
